Enjoying water and the importance of swimming is part of New Zealand life. We are surrounded by beautiful beaches and inviting sea, and swimming pools are a feature of many gardens.

It’s a beautiful environment – but potentially dangerous to those who venture beyond their physical limits.

For 35 years Hilton Brown SWIMMING has been helping generations of Aucklanders to be safer and more confident in and near the water. Our team of experienced, caring swimming coaches has taught many thousands of children and adults to swim and develop water safety knowledge – skills for a lifetime.

I am very proud that the swim school I started in Mt Roskill in 1973 has grown into the leading swimming institution in New Zealand. We have built up an enviable reputation for highly skilled and innovative teaching in a caring and gentle environment. And, most important, with a strong safety message running through everything we do.
